Paul Neuhaus Icicle 8092-11 is a ceiling light with a branching frame and glass pendants shaped like drops. The antique-brass-coloured frame is paired with clear glass drops. The drops hang at different levels, with G9 lampholders positioned between the branches rather than hidden inside one enclosing shade.
Allowing room beneath the ceiling
The fitting occupies 100 × 100 cm in plan and is 50 cm high. These overall dimensions include the decoration and should be compared with the space available beneath the ceiling. The branches spread sideways from the central ceiling canopy. When planning the installation, compare the outline of the entire decoration with the available space, rather than measuring only the ceiling fitting. The lowest glass drops form part of the overall height and extend below the metal frame.
Choose the bulbs separately
This version has 14 G9 light points. Bulbs are not supplied, so they need to be selected before the lamp can be used. The manufacturer specifies a maximum of 40 W per lampholder. This is the limit for each individual bulb, not the stated consumption of the complete fitting. Actual power consumption and brightness depend on the bulbs installed.
Choosing separate bulbs lets you decide between warm white and a more neutral light colour. Use bulbs with the same colour temperature and brightness if you want all the light points to look consistent when switched on. G9 identifies the base; it does not determine the lumen output or colour temperature. Replaceable bulbs also allow those characteristics to be changed when the light sources are next replaced.
Glass drops around the light
The glass pendants are included and surround the exposed light points. Their surfaces reflect light at different levels throughout the frame. The open branches remain visible between the drops, making the frame finish part of the appearance in daylight as well. This is a decorative indoor fitting: check its spread against the space beneath the ceiling before choosing its position.
