The V-TAC VT-8618S is a round surface-mounted ceiling light with a white plastic body. The diffuser is a single piece with no visible seams, and a motion sensor sits on its underside.

Size and mounting

The fixture measures 29.5 cm in diameter and 6 cm in height, so it sits nearly flush against the ceiling — mounting is surface-mounted, with no need to cut an opening. The whole fixture weighs 0.75 kg.

Light and controls

The integrated 18 W LED source produces a luminous flux of 1830 lm — noticeably more than a traditional 60 W bulb (around 800 lm). The 6500 K colour temperature gives a cool, daylight-like white light. A colour rendering index above 80 lets colours be told apart under normal household conditions. The light source cannot be replaced — the manufacturer states a lifespan of around 18 years at 3 hours of use per day and more than 15,000 on/off cycles. The fixture has a built-in motion sensor and comes with a remote control, so it switches on by itself once motion is detected, while other functions are set remotely without any separate control wiring.

Where it can be installed

The IP44 rating allows installation in places exposed to moisture and splashing water, such as above a sink or in a hallway leading to a bathroom — these are the two uses the manufacturer specifies. The diffuser is made of PP plastic, with its translucent part in acrylic (PMMA).
