Chandelier ARI Las Plumas

ARI is a chandelier made of three cylindrical shades hung on separate cords from one ceiling plate. All three are covered in velvet with a peacock-eye print, gold on the inside, and their lower edges are finished with long fringes — blue, purple and pale green in turn. Gold bird figures hang on rings from two of the shades.

How much room it takes under the ceiling

The three shades come in different sizes: 20 cm across and 15 cm tall, 35 × 22 cm, and 45 × 25 cm. The fringes add to those heights — 7 cm on the smallest and 14 cm on each of the two larger ones. The largest piece therefore stands close to 40 cm tall and is about as wide as half the short side of a table for four.

The shades hang spread out beside one another rather than stacked, so the arrangement spills sideways and needs more free area under the ceiling than the 10 × 3 cm ceiling plate itself occupies.

Hanging and adjusting the height

The cords are 150 cm long each, and their length is set with holders fixed to the ceiling — those holders decide how far apart and how low the individual shades end up. The chandelier arrives ready to hang, so the shades do not have to be assembled or covered.

Which bulbs to buy

There are three light points, each with an E27 thread, and the fitting takes any bulb with that thread. Bulbs are not included, so three are bought separately; 2700–3000 K is worth considering because the gold interiors warm the reflected light anyway.

How it is made

The shades are made by hand: velvet, cords, tapes and fringes are applied one at a time and the gold figures are clipped onto rings. The outer material is fabric rather than glass or metal, so the shades are not washed with water — dust comes off with a soft brush.
