DONVELA is a small outdoor wall light shaped as a round, slightly domed disc 12 cm across. The housing is matt, in a rusty corten shade, and a narrow slot runs along its lower edge where the light comes out.
How large the fitting is and how it spreads light
The disc stands 4 cm off the wall, so the fitting stays flat against the facade and does not get in the way where space is tight — beside a door, by a flight of steps, or along a narrow passage. At 12 cm across it is not an object that draws the eye during the day.
Light leaves the fitting downwards only, through the slot at the lower edge, and falls on the wall beneath it and on the surface at its foot. It marks a route and picks out a wall; it does not light the area around it.
How much light DONVELA gives
The built-in LED module draws 3 W and delivers 130 lumens — about a sixth of what a former 60 W incandescent bulb gave. That is enough light to show a step, a threshold or the edge of a path, but it will not light a terrace or a driveway.
The 3000 K colour is a warm white, close to the light of a traditional bulb. The source is included because it is an integral part of the fitting — which also means it cannot be replaced, and once it is spent the whole fitting is changed.
Where it may hang and what it is made of
An IP65 rating means full dust-tightness and resistance to jets of water, so the fitting can hang on an exposed facade, with no canopy and no shelter from rain. It runs on ordinary 230 V.
The body combines aluminium with plastic; the matt rusty corten finish imitates the patina of weathering steel and sits best against brick, timber and bare concrete.
