Fabbian Beluga desk lamp - Green - D57 B03 43

Fabbian Beluga D57B0343 is a compact table lamp designed by Marc Sadler. Its rounded green crystal-glass diffuser rests in an open framework of polished chrome-plated metal. Instead of a tall arm and a broad solid base, it has a low geometric support that leaves the spherical body and the front of the light source clearly visible.

A small footprint with a movable diffuser

The manufacturer's drawing gives a height and width of 12.5 cm and a diffuser diameter of 9 cm. Compare these dimensions with the available space on a desk or bedside table: this is a compact fitting, rather than a tall lamp reaching above a monitor. The technical sheet confirms that the diffuser is adjustable. Changing its position lets you direct the light towards a chosen part of the surface without moving the entire lamp.

Beluga can serve as an additional light beside a reading position, on a desk or on a living-room side table. Whole-room coverage and even illumination across a large worktop need separate consideration; the compact dimensions do not establish the size of the illuminated area.

GU10: choose the light source for the task

This version takes one GU10 light source and uses a 220–240 V supply. Fabbian lists a 1 × 7 W configuration and a maximum wattage of 50 W. These describe different things: the listed configuration does not change the fitting's maximum permitted wattage. Choose a compatible source and stay within that limit.

Beam angle, brightness and colour appearance should be selected according to the intended task and the specifications of the chosen GU10 bulb. Green glass does not establish the source's colour temperature. The adjustable diffuser helps set the direction, but it does not replace choosing an appropriate bulb.

Green glass against an open chrome frame

The smooth rounded diffuser contrasts with the thin lines of its metal support. This combination gives the lamp a modern, minimalist form while keeping a distinct green accent. When combining several lamps from the collection, check the code D57B0343: family photographs also show other finishes, which should not be mistaken for this particular version.
