Gea Luce GBIN46 surface-mounted lighting track, 48 V DC, 3 m, satin white

Gea Luce GBIN46 is a three-metre lighting track for surface mounting on indoor ceilings or walls. The satin-white aluminium profile belongs to a modular electromechanical system operating at 48 V DC; it is a system component rather than a lamp that produces light on its own. Straight edges and an open underside define the route along which the lighting is arranged.

Plan the run before cutting

A 3 m length provides a straight run without joining several shorter tracks. The manufacturer allows the aluminium profile to be cut to length. Before cutting, establish the route, power-feed position and end arrangement so that the shortened track matches the installation plan. The manufacturer's drawings show a cross-section measuring 19 mm wide and 18 mm high, useful when assessing how much space the profile occupies on the mounting surface.

Joint accessories are not included. A layout with several sections therefore needs its connecting components planned separately; the track alone is not a complete installation kit. Assembly and electrical connection must be carried out by qualified personnel following the manufacturer's instructions.

Power supply and control limitations

GBIN46 uses 48 V direct current and needs an appropriate supply and compatible lighting components. Matching voltage alone does not establish compatibility with components from another track system. The manufacturer specifies that this system does not support dimming or separately switching two lighting groups. Account for this before planning independently controlled lighting scenes.

Light colour, brightness and distribution depend on the luminaires selected, not on the white track. It can form a lighting route in living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, corridors, offices or shops, but choosing the actual luminaires remains a separate part of the design.

Appearance and maintenance

The narrow cross-section and unornamented form suit modern and minimalist interiors. Disconnect the supply before cleaning. The instructions recommend a damp cloth with mild detergent, followed by gentle drying. Cables and electrical components must not be exposed to water or cleaning solution.
