Gea Luce GES422 rust-coloured garden bollard light 70 cm E27 IP44

Gea Luce GES422 is a rust-coloured garden bollard with a straight, square-section body and a pale diffuser at the top. The structure is aluminium, paired with an opal PMMA cover over the light source. Its clean geometry, without decorative arms, gives it a modern, minimalist appearance. The rust colour describes the aluminium finish, not a construction made from weathering steel.

Check the footprint and planting height

The bollard stands 70 cm high, with an 8.5 cm-wide body and an 11.5 × 11.5 cm base. Compare these dimensions with the available border and nearby planting before choosing its position. The light-emitting section sits at the top, so the height of surrounding plants matters when planning how visible it will be.

This outdoor fitting can be positioned beside a garden path, around the edge of a terrace or along a driveway. Keep its base outside walking and vehicle routes. Its IP44 rating provides protection against splashing water; it does not make the fitting suitable for submersion or cleaning with a pressurised water jet.

Choose an E27 bulb separately

GES422 takes one E27 bulb rated at no more than 13 W. The bulb is not supplied. Light output and colour temperature therefore depend on the separately chosen source rather than being fixed characteristics of the bollard. The opal diffuser covers the bulb; this is not a spotlight with exposed directional optics.

Electrical installation and care

The fitting uses a 220–240 V AC supply and is class I equipment. Installation and connection must be carried out by qualified personnel following the manufacturer's instructions. Disconnect the mains before working on it. For cleaning, the manufacturer specifies a damp cloth with mild detergent, followed by gentle drying with a soft cloth. Keep water and detergent away from cables and electrical components.
