Gea Luce GES872N outdoor LED wall light, aluminium grey, 4000 K, IP54

Gea Luce GES872N is an outdoor wall light with a rounded front and light directed both upwards and downwards. Its die-cast aluminium body has an aluminium-grey finish, with a transparent glass light cover. The uninterrupted curved front and absence of decorative trim suit modern and minimalist exterior walls.

Shape the beam on the wall

Adjustable internal shutters change the width of the light beam. The manufacturer specifies a 0–115° range, allowing the wall-lighting pattern to be adjusted rather than fixing it at a single beam angle. This adjustment changes the distribution of light, not its brightness: GES872N is non-dimmable and uses on/off operation.

The integrated LED module is rated at 2 × 5 W and produces neutral-white light at 4000 K. Compare this colour temperature with existing exterior lighting when planning a group of fittings; this is not the warm-white version. The specified luminous flux is 550 lm. Both the LED module and transformer are included, so there is no separate bulb to choose for this fitting.

Allow for its projection from the wall

The body measures 13.5 cm wide, 10 cm high and 12 cm deep. Before choosing its position, compare that projection with the movement of doors, shutters and other opening elements. Its two-way emission is primarily useful for lighting vertical surfaces. Suitable locations include a façade, a terrace or balcony wall, the area above a door, a solid boundary wall or the wall of a garden shelter.

The manufacturer specifies outdoor wall installation and an IP54 rating. This does not make the fitting suitable for immersion or cleaning with a water jet. The final wall pattern also depends on the mounting position and shutter settings.

Connection and cleaning

The supply is 220–240 V AC. The assembly instructions require installation by qualified personnel and disconnection of the mains before work. This Class I fitting requires a protective earth connection. For cleaning, the manufacturer recommends a damp cloth and mild detergent in lukewarm water, followed by gentle drying. Do not expose cables or electrical components to water or detergent.
