GES2243 White Gea Luce Outdoor Wall Sconce, IP65

Gea Luce GES2243 is a white outdoor LED wall light with an elongated rectangular body. Its die-cast aluminium housing has a matt finish, paired with a clear glass diffuser. Light is emitted upwards and downwards, making the wall above and below the fitting part of the lighting arrangement rather than directing everything out into the garden.

Choose the light colour before installation

The integrated LED module is included and rated at 2 × 10 W. Before completing installation, you can select 3000 K, 4000 K or 5000 K. These settings provide a warmer, more neutral or cooler appearance respectively. Choose the setting to suit the other exterior lighting before the fitting is finally mounted; this is an installation choice, not a promise of everyday colour adjustment from a wall switch.

The manufacturer specifies 1470, 1690 and 1670 lm for the three settings in that order. Changing the colour setting therefore also changes the stated light output. The fitting uses simple on/off operation and is not dimmable, an important distinction when planning its control circuit.

For exterior walls, terraces and balconies

Outdoor wall mounting and an IP65 rating support use on façades and on walls beside a terrace or balcony. The beam angle is 82°. Upward and downward emission is particularly relevant where the wall itself should receive light on both sides of the mounting position. It should not be mistaken for uniform illumination of an entire garden or driveway.

GES2243 requires a 220–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz supply. As a Class I fitting, it requires a protective earth connection. The installation instructions require qualified personnel and isolation of the mains supply before work begins.

Restrained form and documented care

The plain white front, long proportions and absence of decorative ornament suit modern, minimalist architecture. For cleaning, the instructions specify a damp cloth with mild detergent in warm water, followed by gentle drying with a soft, clean cloth. Keep water and detergent away from cables and electrical components.
