Gea Luce GES861N is a graphite outdoor wall light with a sharply defined die-cast aluminium body and a clear glass diffuser. It emits light upwards and downwards, with adjustable internal shutters that change the pattern on the wall. The plain exterior therefore conceals a useful choice over the shape of the two beams.
A narrow accent or a wider wall pattern
The manufacturer specifies an adjustable beam angle of 0–115°. Opening or narrowing the internal shutters changes the spread rather than swivelling the complete housing. When choosing a mounting position, consider the available wall above and below the fitting as well as the space occupied by the light itself. Those surfaces provide the area on which the two-direction light pattern appears.
The straight edges, dark finish and unornamented front suit modern and minimalist architecture. On a façade, terrace wall or balcony wall, the fitting can provide an architectural accent without introducing a decorative lantern shape. Beam adjustment should not be confused with brightness control: shaping the light mechanically does not make this version dimmable.
Neutral white light from integrated LEDs
The LED modules are rated at 2 × 5 W, with a declared light output of 500 lm. The fixed 4000 K colour temperature gives neutral white light. If combining this fitting with other outdoor lights, compare their colour temperatures before ordering to avoid an unintended mix of light colours. GES861N uses on/off operation and does not support dimming.
What is included and how it connects
The LED module and transformer are included, so this is not a fitting for which you select a separate screw-in bulb. It is designed for outdoor wall installation and carries an IP54 rating. The supply requirement is 220–240 V AC. Protection class I means that a protective earth connection is required. Have a qualified electrician install it in accordance with the manufacturer's mounting instructions.
