Hellux Small Aeroplane Pendant Light 104.10.08, Multicoloured, 1×E27

Hellux Samolot mały 104.10.08 is a wooden pendant light for a child's room, shaped like a small biplane. Its green fuselage, blue wings, red propeller and yellow struts identify the multicoloured version. A single visible bulb sits above the upper wing rather than inside a conventional lampshade.

Allow for the suspension, not just the aircraft

The aircraft body measures 31.5 cm long and 28.5 cm wide. The manufacturer's drawing also gives a height of 14.5 cm for the aircraft itself, while the complete fitting measures 70 cm high including its suspension. Keep these measurements separate when checking ceiling clearance: a small aircraft body does not mean a short hanging light.

Compare the overall height with your ceiling height and check the space below the lowest part of the fitting. The wings extend sideways, so the aircraft's width matters as well as its fuselage length when planning its position.

Choose the visible E27 bulb

The fitting has one E27 socket and accepts a bulb rated at no more than 60 W. Hellux confirms that an LED bulb can be used and recommends a milky globe-shaped GLOBE bulb. Its exposed envelope becomes part of the biplane's outline rather than disappearing behind a closed shade.

Brightness and light colour depend on the bulb you choose, not on the painted wings. Compare lumen output and colour temperature when selecting a light source. The 60 W limit specifies the permitted electrical power; it does not describe the light output of the complete pendant.

A three-dimensional aviation detail

The manufacturer specifies solid pine wood finished with water-based paints. The propeller and undercarriage are movable. Separate wings, wheels and struts give the aircraft a three-dimensional shape, rather than using an aeroplane print on a shade.

This version suits a children's interior built around an aviation theme and strong colours. The stylised biplane recalls historical aircraft, while its straightforward shapes and painted surfaces can also sit alongside contemporary bedroom furniture.
