Flink W0308 is a white LED wall light shaped as a flat rectangular frame 60 cm long, made of aluminium with an acrylic diffuser. The LED strip is set into one of the frame's long edges, and that edge moves — it rotates through 350°, so you set the direction of the light after installation rather than committing to it at purchase.
How to aim the light
Turned upwards, the strip lights the wall and ceiling, and the reflected light spreads softly around the room without hard shadows. Turned downwards, it puts the light onto the area below the fitting — a washbasin, worktop or chest of drawers. The strip itself has a 90° beam, so in any position it covers a broad band of wall rather than a narrow spot.
The frame measures 60 × 10 × 4 cm. Compare the 60 cm length with the width of the mirror, cabinet or stretch of wall the light is going to sit above.
How much light, and what kind
The integrated 18 W LED module delivers 1700 lm, more than an old 100 W bulb, so in a bathroom or hallway this wall light can be the main light on its wall rather than just an accent. 3000 K is warm white, and a colour rendering index of CRI 80+ is the standard for home lighting, under which colours look natural.
The light source and LED driver are included, so there is nothing else to buy. The module is built in permanently and is not replaced like a bulb. The fitting cannot be dimmed — the manufacturer makes no provision for a dimmer, so brightness stays constant. The energy efficiency class is F.
For the bathroom and above a mirror
An IP44 rating means protection against water splashing from any direction, and the manufacturer designed Flink for bathroom installation. The long, narrow frame sits naturally above a mirror, where warm light aimed downwards falls on the face and the basin.
The form is modern and minimalist: a smooth white body with no decoration and no conventional shade, which all but disappears against a light wall. The Flink series also comes in black and gold versions.
