LAVONTO is a wall lamp made of a round mounting base and a slender cylindrical spot that sits in a knuckle joint and tilts out at a slight angle. The body is aluminium, white throughout. A small switch is visible on the base next to the spot.
How much wall it takes up
The base is 10,4 cm across, the whole fitting stands 15 cm tall and projects 7 cm from the wall. Compare that 7 cm with the width of the passage where you intend to mount it — a fitting with this reach gets in the way neither beside a bed nor in a narrow corridor. It weighs 0,48 kg; compare that with the load rating of your wall fixing.
The spot sits in a knuckle joint, so the direction of the light is set after mounting — the manufacturer states that the beam can be aimed precisely. The narrow cylinder carries the light to one spot instead of spreading it around the room.
How much light it gives and how it is switched
The light source is an integrated 3 W LED module. It is included and cannot be replaced, so the life of the module is the life of the whole fitting. The module delivers 189 lumens — a spot-level brightness, roughly a quarter of what an old 60 W incandescent bulb gave (around 800 lm). LAVONTO lights a patch of wall or an open book, not a whole room.
The colour temperature is 3000 K, warm white close to the light of a classic bulb, without the distinctly yellow cast of 2700 K and without the coolness of neutral tones. The fitting is not dimmable, so there is a single, constant brightness. The switch on the base lets you turn the lamp on and off at the fitting itself, without reaching for the wall switch.
What the manufacturer intended it for
The manufacturer directs LAVONTO at the bedroom — including as a bedside light above the bed — and at the corridor and the office, everywhere as accent or spot lighting that supplements the main light. The form is minimalist and modern: a smooth cylinder, a round base, no ornament and no visible screws, and the uniform white also fits Scandinavian interiors.
