NORLYS Lillehammer 2291CG is a box-shaped outdoor wall light in powder-coated die-cast aluminium, finished in cement grey. It lights upwards and downwards at the same time, and both openings are closed with safety optical glass. The two LED modules and the driver are built in and included — there is no light source to buy.
How big it is and how it is installed
The body is 18.5 cm tall and 8 cm wide and projects 11 cm from the wall — the figures to compare with the space beside a door or between windows. The light is fixed through two ø5 mm holes spaced 45 × 130 mm and weighs 1.66 kg.
The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow loop-through wiring (up to 3 × 1.5 mm²) to the next luminaire, so several wall lights on one facade can run from a single circuit. The EPDM gland takes round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. The luminaire is protection class I, so it must be connected to a protective earth conductor.
What light it gives
Light leaves in two 60° beams, up and down, drawing two bright areas on the wall above and below the fitting. Half of the flux goes upwards (ULOR 50%), which is why this light accents a facade rather than lighting a driveway. The whole luminaire draws 7.27 W and emits 216 lm at 2700 K, a warm, slightly yellow light close to a traditional bulb.
It is phase-dimmable, but only with a trailing-edge (TE) dimmer — a leading-edge dimmer will not work with it. The LED modules and control gear are replaced by a professional service, Norlys lists a service kit for this luminaire, and the driver is rated for 50,000 h.
Where it fits
Norlys designed it for lighting walls, facades and architectural details. IP65 means full protection against dust and water jets, so it can hang on an exposed wall, and IK08 means the housing withstands ordinary knocks. The smooth body without ornament suits modern, minimalist architecture.
