Lighting column Norlys Trysil 1095BL black LED 12.2 W 4000 K DALI2 400 cm

Trysil 1095BL is a complete 4 m lighting column: a rectangular shaft of extruded aluminium profile turns at the top into a single arm carrying a flat LED head. The whole column is powder-coated black (RAL 9005), and the diffuser is clear, UV-stabilised polycarbonate.

Size and installation

The column stands 400 cm tall, and the arm with the head reaches 71 cm out from the shaft axis, with a profile width of 24 cm. It weighs 24 kg net and ships in a 232 cm carton, so plan delivery around that length. It is installed following the instructions supplied with it; the mounting adapter 1259, ground anchor 180 or concrete anchor 3091 are sold separately, so the foundation has to be chosen before ordering.

The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 4 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next column (up to 5 × 2.5 mm²), with a cable diameter of up to 13.6 mm, so a row of columns along a path needs one supply line. The maker also states how many fittings one breaker can carry: 18 on B 10 A, 29 on B 16 A, 30 on C 10 A and 49 on C 16 A. The luminaire is protection class I, so it must be connected to a protective earth conductor.

What light it gives

The integrated Philips Fortimo LED module draws 12.2 W, and the luminaire delivers 1667 lm at 4000 K, a neutral white in which surfaces and surroundings are clearly visible. The Ledil SCL lens spreads the light wide in an IESNA type II/III pattern, along a path or driveway rather than in a circle under the column. ULOR is 0%, so no light escapes above the head into the sky or into windows.

The DALI-2 driver with NightDim allows dimming from a control system. It leaves the factory programmed to maximum current, and the maker prepares other settings on request. Both the LED module (L90B10) and the driver are rated for 100,000 h.

Where it fits

Norlys designed Trysil for gardens, private grounds and architectural lighting, and its applications include parks and the grounds of hotels and restaurants. IP65 and IK10 impact resistance allow the column to stand beside footpaths without an extra guard. The plain, angular form with its angled arm is a modern design that suits contemporary buildings.
