Lillehammer 1586GB Beige Grey LED Outdoor Wall Light NORLYS

Lillehammer 1586GB is a box-shaped outdoor wall light in beige grey. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium. Light leaves only through the top, via a window of optical safety glass, while the bottom and sides of the fitting stay dark.

What effect it creates on the wall

The optic concentrates the light into a very narrow 4° beam aimed straight up. It draws a thin, sharply defined line of light on the wall above the fitting rather than a broad pool. It is an accent light: of the 534 lm produced by the LED module, 15 lm leaves the fitting, so it brings out the texture of a facade or the rhythm of several fittings in a row, but it will not light an entrance or a path.

4000 K is neutral white. The fitting draws 4 W and dims with a trailing-edge (TE) phase dimmer. The manufacturer states low flicker (Pst at most 1, SVM at most 0.4), which matters when the light is seen close up or filmed on a phone.

Dimensions and installation

The light is 18.5 cm high and 8 cm wide, and projects 11 cm from the wall. It fixes with two screws through ø5 mm holes spaced 45 × 130 mm. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the gland a round-sheathed cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter. Further fittings can be looped through with conductors up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so a row of lights on one facade runs from a single supply line. The fitting is protection class I, so the installation needs a protective earth conductor.

Lifetime and service

The LED module and driver are built in but not disposable: a professional service replaces them, and Norlys offers a service kit for this fitting. The manufacturer rates the LEDs at over 102,000 h (L80) and over 52,600 h (L90), and the driver at 50,000 h. IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets and IK08 rates its impact resistance, so it can hang on an exposed wall.

Norlys intends it for lighting walls, facades and architectural details, such as the garden side of a house. The plain geometric block without decoration suits modern architecture.
