Lillehammer 1584AL is an outdoor wall light shaped as a plain rectangular block with no ornament, made of powder-coated cast aluminium in light grey RAL 9006. Light leaves only from the bottom, as a narrow 4° beam, through a cover of optical safety glass.
Size and mounting
The fitting is 18.5 cm high and 8 cm wide and projects 11 cm from the wall – compare the width with the pilaster or strip of wall between windows where it is to hang. It fixes with two screws through ø5 mm holes spaced 45 × 130 mm apart, and weighs 1.57 kg.
The driver is built in, so the light connects straight to the 230 V mains. It is protection class I and therefore needs an earth conductor. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and up to 3 × 1.5 mm² for looping through – several lights in a row along a facade can run from one cable taken from fitting to fitting. The gland takes a round-sheathed cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter.
What light it gives
The 4° beam draws a narrow, crisp stripe of light on the wall below the fitting – the manufacturer intends it for lighting wall surfaces and facades. The fitting emits 15 lm at 4 W, which is accent light: it brings out the rhythm of a facade but does not replace lighting for an entrance or a path. ULOR is 0%, so nothing shines upwards into the sky or the windows above. 3000 K is warm white, and CRI 80 renders the colour of the render correctly.
The light is phase-dimmable, but the manufacturer lists trailing-edge dimming only, so the dimmer has to be of that type.
Lifetime and service
The LED module is replaced by a professional service, and the manufacturer offers repair kit ZS1584zx0017 for it. The module is rated at over 102,000 h (L80) and the driver at 50,000 h. IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, and IK08 means resistance to an impact of 5 J. The plain, geometric shape suits modern and Scandinavian architecture: facades of houses and hotels, balconies and restaurant gardens.
