LIVANDO 40 cm White Globe Pendant Light LED Luces Exclusivas LE45181

LIVANDO is a pendant light with a spherical shade 40 cm in diameter, made of glass with a milky, matt finish. The globe hangs from a clear power cable and a thin suspension wire that run down from a round white ceiling canopy. The light source is a built-in LED module, so the lamp is ready to use without buying bulbs.

Size and suspension

A 40 cm globe keeps good proportions above a table 80–90 cm wide. The manufacturer gives the overall height of the fitting as 244 cm. Compare that figure with the height of your own room: above a dining table the bottom of the shade usually hangs 70–80 cm above the tabletop, so that the light covers the whole table without shining into the eyes of people sitting at it.

In the LIVANDO series the manufacturer also offers pendants with 20, 30 and 50 cm globes, using the same glass and the same canopy. Above a long table you can hang several globes in a row or combine different sizes.

What light LIVANDO gives

The built-in LED module draws 11 W and delivers 660 lm, slightly less than an old 60 W bulb. That brightness suits lighting a dining table or adding light in a living room, rather than being the only source in a large room. The colour temperature of 3000 K is a warm white, close to the light of a traditional bulb.

The module is integrated into the fitting: you do not buy bulbs for it, but you cannot replace it yourself either. The milky glass spreads the light over the entire surface of the globe, so the lamp glows evenly to the sides instead of throwing a narrow beam onto the table.

Brightness can be adjusted with a TRIAC dimmer, i.e. a phase-cut dimmer. When choosing one, check that it is rated for LED loads.

Which interiors it suits

A smooth white globe without ornament and a plain round canopy make a modern, minimalist form. The lamp is intended for hanging above a dining table and for the living room, where a single larger globe marks the centre of the seating area or the place at the table.
