Lucide GRADO black ceiling spotlight 1×GU10 MR11 22974/01/30

Lucide GRADO 22974/01/30 is a single ceiling spotlight with a narrow cylindrical head beneath a square ceiling plate. Its aluminium body has a matt black finish. A rotating, tilting joint lets you aim the head rather than restrict the light to the area directly below the ceiling connection.

Choose the bulb format, not just the socket

The fitting takes one GU10 bulb in the compact MR11 format. Checking the GU10 designation alone is not enough: a larger bulb with the same base may not fit inside this narrow cylinder. Lucide recommends its 49094/04/30 light source, which has a diameter of 3.5 cm. The bulb is not included and needs to be bought separately.

The spotlight operates at 230 V and accepts a maximum of 40 W. Colour temperature, brightness and beam angle are determined by your chosen bulb, not by the black housing. Dimming requires both a dimmable bulb and a compatible dimmer; the dimmer is not supplied. The replaceable light source therefore gives you a choice of lighting characteristics when putting the installation together.

Aim the head while allowing for the fixed height

The head can rotate and tilt to direct light towards a selected part of the room. It can provide supplementary directional lighting in a living room, hallway, kitchen or study. Judge the size of the illuminated area using the bulb's beam angle and the distance to the target, rather than assuming the fitting's maximum wattage describes its brightness.

Overall height is fixed at 23 cm. The ceiling plate measures 10 × 10 cm and is 2.5 cm deep; the cylindrical head is 13.5 cm long and 3.9 cm in diameter. Compare these dimensions with the planned position and leave room for the intended head angle.

Simple geometry and a wired ceiling connection

The square base and plain cylinder suit modern and modernist interiors without decorative detailing. Installation materials are included. A qualified electrician should make the electrical connection; this class I fitting requires an earth conductor. It is an indoor spotlight, not a garden fitting or a light for positions exposed to water.
