LUMINES RETO 10-0522-20 is a black anodized aluminium profile for building surface-mounted LED lighting on furniture. This version is 2020 mm long and has a low, broad cross-section with rounded sides and a central opening for a BASIC cover. It is a lighting-system component, not a finished lamp with a fixed brightness or colour temperature.
A long section with a low mounting height
The profile measures 54.9 mm across and stands only 8 mm high. Before fitting it beneath a shelf or cabinet, compare both the length of the furniture and the available mounting width with these dimensions. The shallow height should not be mistaken for a narrow footprint: RETO needs almost 55 mm of surface width.
Surface mounting does not require a groove to be routed into the furniture board. This matters when adding lighting to existing cupboards and shelves rather than designing recessed channels into new furniture. The undecorated shape and black finish suit modern, minimalist cabinetry.
BASIC covers and the direction of light
In the RETO cross-section, the LED strip does not sit directly beneath the cover. The manufacturer designed this arrangement to create a continuous light line despite the profile's shallow height. Plan the final appearance together with the selected strip and cover; the aluminium body itself does not determine light output or colour temperature.
The system accepts BASIC covers. Suitable end caps can alter the direction of light, including versions with 15° or 30° supports. A separate location outside the profile must be planned for the power supply.
For shelves and cabinet lighting
RETO is intended for decorative lighting in shelves and cabinets, including kitchen cabinetry. Assemble the solution by matching the cover, end caps, LED strip and power supply. This profile cannot be sealed, so it should not be treated as the basis of a watertight fitting in locations exposed to water.
