LUMINES W is an aluminium LED strip profile with a black anodised finish, designed for recessed installation. The current manufacturer documentation gives a length of 2.02 m for article 10-0702-20. Its narrow edges frame the light opening rather than creating the projecting housing of a surface-mounted profile.
Planning the recess
The W system is intended for lightweight structures and uses mounting springs. The manufacturer illustrates integration into both ceilings and walls. Compare the cross-section with the construction detail before preparing an opening: the outer flange is 22 mm wide, while the body width marked in the drawing is 17 mm. These measurements describe different parts of the profile and should not be treated as interchangeable opening dimensions.
Allow for this variant's full length when laying out a run and its joints. W profiles can be connected, with straight and angled connectors among the manufacturer's compatible accessories. Select the connector to suit the actual route of the lighting line rather than simply matching its colour.
Building the lighting assembly
The profile accommodates an LED strip up to 12 mm wide and works with BASIC diffusers. The assembly drawings show a diffuser, strip, end caps and mounting springs as elements of the system. Match the selected components to W and plan a position for the power supply outside the profile. Black aluminium does not determine colour temperature, brightness or control functions; those choices belong to the strip and associated equipment.
A restrained architectural detail
The straight section and dark border support modern, minimalist interiors. W is designed for decorative lighting lines and accents integrated into a wall or ceiling, in residential interiors as well as commercial spaces. It is a lighting-system component, not a finished luminaire with a specified light output. Assess the intended result together with the selected strip and diffuser, not from the profile length alone.
