Max Light JO-JO P0597 pendant lamp black and grey LED 124 cm metal

JO-JO P0597 is a pendant lamp shaped as a straight bar 124 cm long with a 6 cm profile height. The body is metal in a grey finish, while the canopy and the louvre on the underside are black. The louvre holds a row of square cells with the LEDs recessed inside them.

Size and mounting height

The bar is 124 cm long, so it keeps its proportion above a surface of similar length — measure the table or island it is to hang over before ordering. The canopy is 40 × 6 cm and marks where the ceiling connection has to be.

The maximum drop is 195 cm. Above a table of the usual 75 cm height the fitting is normally hung so that its lower edge sits 70–80 cm above the top — the light then covers the whole surface and the bar does not block the view between people sitting opposite each other.

How much light it gives and how it is controlled

The built-in LED module draws 40 W and delivers 3845 lm — a brightness close to five traditional 60 W bulbs, which is general room lighting, not just an accent over the table. The light spreads in a 120° cone, downwards and slightly to the sides.

Colour temperature is set anywhere between 2700 K and 5500 K, from warm yellowish light to cool white, and the manufacturer also states a dimming function. A colour rendering index of Ra 95 means food and furnishings look under this light almost as they do in daylight. The LED driver is included, so nothing extra has to be bought; the diodes, on the other hand, are built in permanently and cannot be replaced.

Build and the JO-JO series

The whole fitting is metal, with no glass or textile parts; the only contrast is the grey body against the black canopy and black louvre. The profile is only 6 cm high, so it reads as a narrow horizontal line under the ceiling.

Where it works

The manufacturer intends this fitting for the living room, while the elongated form and downward light match mounting over a dining table. An unornamented bar in grey combined with black fits modern and minimalist interiors.
