Basis Grid TR084-1-6W4K-W is a small luminaire for the Maytoni Radity magnetic track system: a flat, elongated 11.6 cm module in a white aluminium housing with a matt polycarbonate diffuser in a fine grid texture. It gives neutral white light at 4000 K.
Which system it fits
The light belongs to the Radity magnetic system and runs on 48 V low voltage supplied through that system's track. It cannot be fitted to a 230 V single-phase or three-phase track, so check which system is on your ceiling before buying. It is a protection class III fitting, powered by safety extra-low voltage.
The module is inserted straight into the track profile without tools. As standard it shines straight down; to aim the light, the manufacturer sells the rotating Radity adapter TRA084FC-11SW separately.
How much light and what kind
Twelve LEDs with a combined 6 W produce 90 lm according to the manufacturer, with a 60° beam. That is little compared with an old 60 W bulb (about 800 lm), so a single unit lights one chosen spot, such as a shelf, a worktop or a passage, while brighter, even light comes from spacing several units along the track. The manufacturer declares energy class G.
A colour rendering index of Ra 90 means colours look true under this light, and 4000 K is a neutral white without a yellow cast. The light is not dimmable. The manufacturer states a service life of 50,000 hours.
Dimensions
The housing measures 116 × 26 × 28 mm, so it takes up just over 11 cm of track and projects less than 3 cm below the profile. The Basis Grid series also includes versions with other wattages and with 3000 K.
