BERGAMO is a pendant built from two cylindrical shades: an outer one 50 cm across and a smaller 40 cm one set back inside it. The shades are sewn from textile with linen laid over a PVC backing, and the metal parts — the stem and the ceiling rose — are finished in black.
How big it is and how high to hang it
The outer shade at 50 cm sets the scale: over a table 90–100 cm wide the fitting covers roughly half the top, the usual proportion for a single light above a dining table. Overall height adjusts between 56 and 346 cm, so the same fitting suits a 2.5 m ceiling as well as a stairwell or a room with a gallery.
The ceiling rose is 12 cm across and 2.5 cm deep, covering a standard flush box. The fitting weighs 1.9 kg — an ordinary hook or ceiling plug carries that; a suspended ceiling needs a fixing into the supporting structure.
Five E27 lampholders
Five E27 holders sit inside the shade, each rated up to 60 W. That number spreads the light evenly across the whole shade diameter instead of concentrating it under a single source — the lower rim glows uniformly, with no bright spot in the middle.
Colour and brightness are yours to choose through the lamps; over a dining table 2700–3000 K usually works best. The fitting itself has no dimming electronics, so any brightness control depends entirely on the lamps used and the switchgear in the wall.
Build and series
The fitting is metal and is protection class I, which means it needs an earth conductor at the ceiling box. The maker gives a five-year warranty.
Bergamo is designed as a family: alongside this pendant it includes a ceiling light with three E27 holders and a table lamp on two E14 sources with an adjustable bracket. The shades are made in several tones, so ceiling and table lighting can be matched in one finish.
