The Elti TR005-1-GU10-BG is a spotlight for Maytoni's single-phase Unity track. It consists of a gold-coloured aluminium tube on a black arm and a black adapter, which is what clips into the track.

Size and aiming the light

The tube is 200 mm long and 53 mm in diameter, and the arm holds it 180 mm away from the 81 mm wide adapter. The manufacturer gives the overall height as 280 mm — the space to allow below the track under a low ceiling or above a wardrobe. The fitting weighs 0.34 kg.

The arm rotates on the adapter and the tube tilts on its joint, each through 355°. Once installed, the light can be pointed at a picture, a shelf or a worktop without sliding the fitting along the track.

Light source and power

The fitting takes one GU10 lamp of up to 10 W, which is not included. The 10 W limit rules out halogen GU10s, typically 35–50 W, so this spotlight takes an LED GU10 — its colour and beam angle depend on the model you choose. The manufacturer does not intend the fitting to be dimmed.

The lamp sits deep inside the tube, so it is not directly visible from the side and the light glares less. Power at 220–240 V comes from the track, and the fitting is protection class II, meaning double insulation with no earth conductor.

Where it fits

The gold tube against black mounting parts suits modern and industrial interiors. A spotlight like this works wherever light should land on one spot: in a living room, bedroom, kitchen and dining room, a hallway, and in an office, hotel, restaurant or shop, where several heads on one track light a display.
