Maytoni Nordis O140WL-L2BK is a solar LED wall light with a black aluminium housing. Its flat upper section carries the solar panel and projects over a pale vertical front element, giving the fitting a contrasting appearance. This is the wall-mounted Nordis variant, rather than the standing lamp or garden post from the same family.
Allow for the projection from the wall
The fitting measures 16.8 cm high, 10 cm wide and 17.8 cm deep. When placing it beside a doorway, check that its projection will not interfere with the door opening. The manufacturer's instruction shows attachment to a vertical surface using the rear mounting bracket.
Solar operation requires a position where daylight can reach the upper panel; shading that panel limits charging. IP65 protection supports outdoor installation on a facade or beside a terrace or balcony. Choose the location with both sunlight and the intended illuminated area in mind, rather than treating every shaded wall as an equivalent mounting position.
Warm light for a small area
The integrated 2 W LED produces warm white light at 3000 K. The light source is part of the fitting, so there is no separate screw-in bulb to select for this model.
Motion response and operating modes
The instruction describes three modes with different background light levels and timed changes in output. Its PIR sensor detects movement within up to 5 m and a 120° angle, with the selected mode governing the increase in light when movement is detected. The fitting has its own operating button; holding it for 1–2 seconds switches the lamp on or off. Dimming here refers to the Nordis operating modes, not a claim of compatibility with a household wall dimmer. Straight lines and restrained detailing suit modern and minimalist exterior schemes.
