MOCHA is a round dining table 150 cm across. The top is built on an MDF panel finished in Kolaka Cream marble, and the four cylindrical legs are cut from solid oak in a dark mocha tone. The legs reach the very top of the panel and are let into it — their cross-sections are visible on the table surface.

How much room it needs and how many people it seats

The top measures 150 cm across and the table stands at the usual 75 cm, which suits chairs with a seat height of 44–47 cm. The circumference of the top comes to roughly 470 cm, and a place at the table is generally reckoned at about 60 cm of width. That is a calculation worth doing before you settle on a set of chairs.

A round table needs room all around it. Allowing 80 cm of clear passage behind a pulled-out chair, MOCHA occupies a circle some 310 cm across — compare that figure with the shorter side of your dining room.

What it is made of

Kolaka Cream marble has a warm cream tone with fine golden-beige veining and small lighter inclusions. Stone is a natural material, so the pattern on the top you receive will differ from the one in the photograph.

The legs are solid oak in a mocha finish, with open grain and a matt surface clearly visible. A metal corner support ties the structure together beneath the top. The manufacturer states a single weight for the table — 191 kg — so this is not a piece you shift on your own: decide where it stands before assembly.

Looking after it

The manufacturer requires the use of coasters or placemats and states that wet and hot dishes should not touch the surface of the top directly. It ties the appearance and durability of the table to that, so plan for a set of mats along with the chairs.
