Nordlux Fremont 2310026003 LED recessed downlight, black, 2700 K, IP65

Nordlux Fremont 2310026003 is a single recessed LED downlight with a black circular trim and a recessed reflector. Its metal body is complemented by plastic components. This version has an integrated 2700 K light source rather than a socket for a separately chosen standard bulb.

A directed beam with adjustable brightness

A 345 lm output and 36° beam angle make Fremont a defined lighting point, not a substitute for a broad-beam flush ceiling light. The tilting module lets you change the direction of the beam. When planning several downlights, consider the areas to be illuminated together with ceiling height. The output of one fitting alone cannot tell you how bright the whole room will be or how many fittings are required.

The light is warm white at 2700 K. A suitable wall dimmer provides stepless brightness adjustment; this does not mean that the colour temperature changes. The integrated module consumes 4.5 W. Its light source is non-replaceable, so choosing the fitting also means choosing its light colour, rather than changing it later by fitting a different bulb.

Plan the cut-out and ceiling void separately

The visible trim measures 8.5 cm across, while the fitting is 5.4 cm high. The installation instructions specify a 72 mm cut-out and at least 68 mm of vertical installation space. These measurements serve different purposes: the trim diameter is not the hole diameter, and body height does not describe the entire space needed above the ceiling.

Do not cover the fitting directly with thermal insulation. Check the ceiling construction and prescribed clearances against the instructions before cutting holes. Fremont requires a permanent 220–240 V mains connection. The manufacturer permits parallel connection.

A restrained black detail, including in bathrooms

The plain circular trim, without a decorative shade, suits modern, modernist and minimalist ceiling schemes. A group of lighting points can be planned for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, dining areas and circulation spaces, as well as hotels or restaurants. Bathroom use is confirmed by the manufacturer: the room-facing side is IP65, while the section above the ceiling is IP20. Bathroom placement must comply with the instructions and local installation rules; the fitting is not intended for immersion.
