NORLYS Asker MD1529BL black outdoor LED wall light with sensor 9.4 W 241 lm 2700 K IP65

NORLYS Asker MD1529BL is a black outdoor LED wall light with an integrated microwave motion sensor. The fitting draws 9.4 W, delivers 241 lm of warm 2700 K light and distributes it both upwards and downwards. Its RAL 9005 aluminium body carries IP65 ingress protection and an IK08 impact rating.

Upward and downward light

The integrated LED module produces 773 lm, while the complete fitting emits 241 lm at an efficacy of 25.6 lm/W. Its two-sided distribution forms bands above and below the body; half the output is directed upward, giving ULOR 50% and a B0-U3-G0 BUG rating. A 2700 K colour temperature creates a warm effect, while CRI 80 and SDCM3 describe colour rendering and consistency. The LED source is replaceable by professional service only.

Motion sensing with dusk control

The built-in Merrytek MC119S microwave sensor provides settings for detection area, hold time and ambient-light threshold. Factory values are 100% detection area, a five-second hold time and the dusk threshold disabled. At a mounting height of 2.5 m, the manual illustrates an indicative reach of about 2 m to either side and 3 m downwards. The settings should be adjusted after installation to suit the location and reduce unwanted switching.

Materials prepared for outdoor exposure

The powder-coated cast-aluminium body is combined with a structured transparent polycarbonate lens stabilised against UV, a silicone gasket and an EPDM cable gland. IP65 protects against dust and water jets, while IK08 defines impact resistance. The permitted operating range is -20 to +45°C. The black finish corresponds to RAL 9005. Overall dimensions are 22.5 × 11 × 8.5 cm; net weight is 1.44 kg and gross weight 1.58 kg.

Mounting and electrical connection

The fitting uses two Ø4.5 mm mounting holes spaced 180 × 60 mm. Terminals accept conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², with loop-through connection up to 3 × 1.5 mm²; a round-sheathed cable of Ø7–10.5 mm is required. Asker operates at 220–240 V and is a Class I fitting, so protective earthing is essential. Installation and replacement of the LED source or control gear should be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance with the supplied instructions.
