NORLYS Como 370BL black outdoor wall light E27

Como 370BL is an outdoor wall light shaped like a classic lantern: a bell-shaped shade with a wide brim hangs from a curved arm that rises out of an upright wall plate. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated black (RAL 9005), and below the brim sits a clear diffuser made of UV-stabilised polycarbonate.

Size and wall mounting

The fitting is 44 cm tall and 27 cm wide, and the shade projects 39 cm from the wall. The wall plate on its own is 23 cm high — a figure to compare with the free space between a door or window frame and the corner of the building. The light weighs 2.3 kg.

The plate is fixed through four ø5 mm holes spaced 25 × 140 mm apart. The EPDM cable gland takes a round-sheathed cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter, and the terminals accept conductors up to 2.5 mm² — values worth checking when you choose the cable. The manufacturer also allows mounting on a building corner, which needs the corner bracket 152XX0009, sold separately.

Light source

The shade holds an E27 socket for an A55–A60 shaped bulb. No bulb is included; the manufacturer allows an LED source of up to 9 W, and the user changes it without a service visit. Because the diffuser is clear, the bulb stays in view — its shape becomes part of the lantern's look, while the colour and brightness of the light depend on the bulb you choose.

The brim covers the top of the diffuser, yet some light still goes upward: the ULOR is 17 %. The lantern therefore lights the wall above it as well as the ground below — relevant where rules limit light directed at the sky.

Outdoor use and spare parts

IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction, so the fitting can hang on a facade without a canopy. It works in ambient temperatures from −20 to +45 °C. It is protection class II, so the installation needs no protective earth conductor. A damaged diffuser can be ordered as a spare part (service kit 06370797) instead of replacing the whole light.

The lantern-on-an-arm form and the black finish suit vintage and classic styles — by a front door, on a facade, and at the entrances of hotels and restaurants.
