Norlys Halmstad 296GR graphite bollard light RAL 7016, E27, 85 cm

Halmstad 296GR is an 85 cm Norlys bollard light with a square 12 × 12 cm section, made of hot-dip galvanised steel in graphite RAL 7016. The top is a head with horizontal louvres in front of a milky PMMA diffuser, a plain, angular form in a Scandinavian spirit.

Installation and what to buy separately

The bollard weighs 12.76 kg, and its base is bolted down through three ø9 mm holes set at 120° on a ø65 mm circle. The manufacturer states that the fixing parts are sold separately: a concrete-in anchor 205, a ground anchor 206, a concrete-foundation adapter 206S and mounting adapters 3080GA and 3086GA, plus junction box 6138 for the connection.

The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and let you loop the supply on with the same cross-section, so one line can feed several bollards along a path. The gland takes round cable up to 12.5 mm in diameter. The bollard is protection class II, so it needs no protective earth conductor.

What light it gives

The fitting has an E27 socket and takes an LED lamp up to 9 W in an A55–A60 shape; a wider decorative globe will not fit under the diffuser. The light source is not included and the user replaces it, so you choose the colour temperature and brightness yourself; 2700–3000 K warm light is the usual choice for a path.

Light leaves sideways through the louvres and is only partly shielded from above: the manufacturer gives 48% of the flux going above the horizontal. This is a bollard that marks the line of a path, driveway or terrace and lights its surroundings, not a fitting that sends all its light onto the ground.

Build

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, and IK10 means resistance to a 20 J impact, the level intended for luminaires standing in public places, by a street or outside a hotel or restaurant. The diffuser and gasket are available as spare parts (06295000 and 08295000), so a cracked diffuser is replaced without buying the whole bollard.
