NORLYS Narvik 5091GR bollard light, graphite RAL 7016, LED 22.5 W 3000 K DALI2, 95 cm

Narvik 5091GR is a 95 cm bollard light with a 24 cm diameter, cast in aluminium and powder-coated in graphite RAL 7016. A dome closes the body at the top, and beneath it light leaves on four sides through a clear UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser. An inspection door in the lower part of the bollard gives access to the terminals.

How much light it gives and how it is controlled

The source is a Philips Fortimo LED module at 3000 K, a warm white close to an incandescent bulb, with Ra 80 colour rendering. The dome shades the light from above, so of the module's 3137 lm the fitting delivers 597 lm onto the ground around the bollard — less than an old 60 W bulb, so Narvik marks a path and its edges rather than lighting a large square. It draws 22.5 W.

The driver runs on DALI-2 with a NightDim profile and leaves the factory set to maximum current: without a controller the bollard runs at full power, and dimming needs a DALI installation. Other parameters are programmed by arrangement with Norlys sales. The 4000 K version is Narvik 5090.

Mounting and wiring

The base has six oval 10 × 15 mm holes on a ø172 mm circle. Norlys sells the concrete anchor (505), the concrete foundation adapter (110) and the mounting adapters (3088, 6011) separately. The bollard weighs 10.84 kg.

As a class I luminaire it needs a protective earth conductor. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 4 mm² and allow loop-through to the next fitting (up to 5 × 2.5 mm²); the gland takes a cable up to ø12.5 mm. The inrush current is 26 A / 180 µs, so Norlys allows only 18 fittings on a B 10 A circuit breaker and 28 on a B 16 A one — a figure to plan around for a longer row of bollards.

Durability and servicing

IP65 lets the bollard stand outdoors uncovered, and its IK10 impact resistance is the top class of that scale, which matters in car parks and on footpaths. The LED module and driver are replaced by a professional service; Norlys offers the ZS5091 service kit and, as spare parts, the diffuser and the gasket.
