OIA LED 9102 is a black recessed stair light: all that shows on the wall is a round plate 4.8 cm in diameter with a light opening shielded from above, while the rest of the body sits inside the wall. The body is painted aluminium with plastic parts.
Installing it in the wall
The light needs a round hole 4 cm in diameter, and the body goes 7 cm deep into the wall — that much space has to be available behind the cladding or in the masonry beside the stairs. It connects directly to 230 V mains wiring. The box contains the light and the user and installation instructions.
It is a class II, double-insulated fitting, so it needs no protective earth conductor. The IP20 rating means it is for indoor use only — outdoor steps need a different light.
What light it gives
The light source is an integrated 2 W LED module at 3000 K, a warm white. A flux of 50 lm is orientation light: the fitting lights a step or a patch of floor so you can see where to put your feet at night, but it will not replace main lighting. The beam angle is 50° and the colour rendering index is Ra ≥ 80.
The LED module cannot be replaced — the manufacturer rates its lifetime at 10,000 hours. The manufacturer classes OIA as a stair light, and the same series includes a white version (9103).
