Asker 1320AL is a bollard light shaped like an upside-down L: a straight 11 cm wide column ends at the top in a horizontal arm projecting 20 cm, and the light falls downwards from underneath that arm. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated light grey RAL 9006. This is the PRO version, with a Ledil lens and visible LED modules under the arm.

Size and installation

The bollard is 85 cm tall and fits within a 20 × 11 cm outline. The light source sits at the very top and shines down onto the ground beside the bollard rather than into the eyes of people walking past.

It is bolted down through four ø8 mm holes spaced 18 × 50 mm. Concreting and ground anchors and mounting adapters are sold separately by the manufacturer, so they are chosen to suit the surface and bought extra. The terminals take cables up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and bollards can be looped with cable up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so several fittings along a path can run from one circuit. The luminaire is protection class I, which means it must be connected to an earth conductor.

What light it gives

The source is an integrated LED module: the luminaire draws 7.7 W and delivers 617 lm. 4000 K is neutral white light with no yellow tint. The lens with an IESNA type V distribution spreads the light symmetrically around the bollard, and a ULOR of 2% means only a negligible share goes upwards — the ground is lit, not the sky.

Brightness can be adjusted with a trailing-edge phase dimmer. The LED module and driver are replaced, if ever needed, by a qualified person rather than the user. The manufacturer states a module lifetime of 109,000 hours.

Where it fits

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, so the bollard can stand outdoors without cover. IK08 means the housing withstands an impact of 5 J. It operates at temperatures from −20 to +45 °C.

The manufacturer designed Asker for gardens and private grounds — along a garden path, on a terrace, by a driveway, and also in parks and around hotels and restaurants. The form is modern and minimalist: smooth faces, sharp edges and no ornament, which is why it sits well with concrete, brick and render. The Asker series also offers this bollard in black and graphite, and in a lower 55 cm version.
