Outdoor wall light ASKER 5102GR graphite LED 8W 4000K IP65 Norlys

The ASKER 5102GR is an outdoor wall light shaped as a flat rectangular block of cast aluminium, powder-coated in graphite RAL 7016. A clear, structured and UV-stabilised polycarbonate lens runs along its front edge. The fitting emits in two directions: upwards and downwards.

Size and mounting

The body is 22.5 cm wide and 11 cm high, projects 8.5 cm from the wall and weighs 1.35 kg. The shape is distinctly horizontal, so compare those 22.5 cm with the width of the strip of wall above the door or between the windows where the light is to go.

It fixes to the wall through two ø4.5 mm holes spaced 180 × 60 mm. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the fitting can be looped through with up to 3 × 1.5 mm² — a row of them along a facade then runs off one supply circuit instead of a separate feed to each point. The cable enters through an EPDM gland and may be 7–10.5 mm in diameter. The luminaire is protection class I, so the installation needs an earth conductor.

How much light it gives, and of what kind

The source is an integrated LED module run directly from 220–240 V mains. It is fitted at the factory, and the manufacturer provides for replacement by a qualified professional only, assigning the model the ZS5102zx0010 service kit. The module itself draws 8 W, the complete luminaire 8.8 W.

Luminaire output is 329 lm, split roughly half upwards and half downwards, so the fitting lights a band of wall above and below itself rather than the ground in front of the entrance — for comparison, an old 60 W bulb gave around 800 lm. 4000 K is neutral white, with no yellow cast. The light dims on a TRIAC phase dimmer, and the manufacturer allows both trailing-edge and leading-edge types, so an existing dimmer does not have to be replaced.

Operating conditions and build

IP65 means full protection against dust and resistance to water jets from any direction, while IK08 covers impacts of up to 5 J. The light therefore suits an exposed facade, a fence or a balcony, including busy spots such as hotel and restaurant entrances.

A silicone gasket and the EPDM gland close the housing, and powder coating protects the aluminium casting. The manufacturer gives a 5-year warranty on the luminaire and a 25-year anti-corrosion warranty on the finish.
