ASTINA is an outdoor wall light shaped as a narrow brushed-aluminium cylinder, closed top and bottom with glass that covers the lamps. The fitting holds two sockets aimed in opposite directions, so once mounted it throws two equal cones of light onto the wall — one up, one down. The manufacturer describes the light output as direct and indirect.
How big it is and how it mounts
The cylinder is 23 cm tall and 6 cm across, and it stands 10 cm off the wall — the measurement to check where the fitting will sit close to a passage, beside a front door for instance. It mounts on the surface, on a round base plate, and weighs 0.8 kg.
The fitting is protection class I, so it needs a supply with an earth conductor — work for an electrician rather than a plug in a socket. It runs straight off 220–240 V ~50/60 Hz mains.
What light it gives
Inside are two GU10 sockets, one for each direction. Lamps are not included, so colour and brightness are yours to choose; the manufacturer recommends the QPAR51 GU10 LED 6 W lamp at 2200–2700 K and Ra 90 — warm, slightly yellow light in a 36-degree beam.
The manufacturer gives 44 W as the maximum lamp load for the whole fitting. Light leaves only through the two openings, up and down rather than sideways: the fitting draws two patches on the wall instead of lighting all of it.
Where it can hang
An IP44 rating means protection against splashing water from any direction, and that is what the manufacturer bases the outdoor rating on. The body is smooth and unornamented, and on the wall it occupies a strip 6 cm wide — a measurement worth comparing with the space left between a door and a corner, or between two windows.
