Inigo 8193-55 is a ceiling light built from two thin rectangular frames in a silver finish, offset from each other along the diagonal and joined by a small square canopy. It is the edge of the frames that lights, not a flat disc, so two bright rectangles are drawn on the ceiling.
How much ceiling it takes up
The fitting outlines a rectangle of 83.6 by 24.2 cm on the ceiling — a figure to compare with the stretch of ceiling it will occupy, not with the floor area of the room. Set lengthways it follows the line you walk along; set across, it marks out the zone beneath it.
It stands only 6.8 cm below the ceiling. In a low room that is a real difference from a pendant, because no headroom is lost underneath and it can also go above a spot people walk through.
How much light it gives
The complete fitting emits 2380 lm and consumes 35 W. The figure of 3560 lm refers to the LED sources themselves; the effective output of 2380 lm describes the light leaving the finished lamp and is the appropriate value for comparing fittings.
The colour temperature is fixed at 3000 K, giving warm white light. LED modules are included, so separate bulbs are not needed.
Dimming from an ordinary switch
The luminaire supports Simply Dim, which means stepless dimming from 100% down to 10% using the ordinary wall switch already in the room. No dimmer has to be bought and no wiring changed, and the brightness you set is remembered and restored the next time the light is switched on.
Build
The frames have a metal body in a steel colour with plastic diffusers through which the light leaves. The drawing is reduced to two lines and one square base, with no ornament. The IP20 rating covers dry interiors.
