Pendant light Paul Neuhaus / SCHÖNER WOHNEN-Kollektion Posh 15692-15, grey, smoked glass, LED

Paul Neuhaus / SCHÖNER WOHNEN-Kollektion Posh 15692-15 is an LED pendant light. A single smoked-glass shade has a flattened rounded form with a grey metal top.

The handcrafted glass may show small irregularities typical of this production method. Its smoked tint leaves the rounded outline visible. Comfort Lift adjusts height manually without a visible counterweight; consider the sightlines of people seated at the table when setting the drop.

Height and span of the fitting

Overall height is adjustable: 80–200 cm. The complete fitting measures 22 × 22 cm in plan. Comfort Lift lets you raise and lower the suspension by hand. The mechanism is concealed in the canopy, so there is no external counterweight.

The adjustment range describes the complete fitting from the ceiling, rather than the length of the shade alone. Before installation, compare it with the height of the room and the position of the tabletop. Raising and lowering changes the distance from the light source to the illuminated surface; this is a separate adjustment from dimming.

Light and controls

The LED sources are included and emit warm white light. The 3000 K colour temperature is fixed: this is a warm shade of white rather than a system for switching between warm and cool light.

Simply Dim provides continuous dimming through an ordinary switch without a separate wall dimmer. Switching off and back on within three seconds starts brightness adjustment between 100 and 10%. Switch off at the desired level to store it. The next switch-on recalls that brightness.

The complete fitting delivers 300 lm. This is the useful figure for comparing the brightness of finished lights because it accounts for the light leaving the body. Dimming reduces that output whenever full brightness is not needed.
