Sigma Argon 1 33262 — a white globe on a circular plate

Argon 1 in the 33262 version is built around two straightforward geometric forms: a broad, flat circular body and one spherical shade. The globe is positioned away from the exact centre of the plate, giving the fitting a more dynamic outline when viewed from below than a conventional flush light with a centred diffuser. Every visible element is white. The body is made from painted steel, while the globe is glass. This single-colour treatment draws attention to the contrast between the wide disc and the smaller rounded volume projecting from it.

One fitting for a ceiling or wall

Sigma classifies Argon 1 as a ceiling lamp but explicitly states that this exact 33262 model can also be installed as a wall light. It can therefore sit overhead above a chosen part of a room or form a compact illuminated feature on a vertical surface. Allow for the complete 27 × 27 cm outline and a height or projection of 19 cm when choosing the position. The fitting attaches to a mounting bracket. Installation must be carried out with the supply isolated, using fixings selected for the construction of the ceiling or wall.

A replaceable G9 bulb

The glass globe houses one replaceable LED bulb with a G9 cap and a maximum rating of 12 W. No bulb is included, leaving colour temperature and lumen output to be selected separately. Check the physical dimensions of the chosen G9 lamp as well as its electrical rating so that it fits correctly inside the globe. The white glass hides a direct view of the bulb and turns the rounded shade into the most prominent element when the light is switched on.
