RIA square glass recessed light fitting white-transparent 20-1120-18

RIA 20-1120-18 is a glass recessed fitting for a suspended ceiling, supplied in the white-transparent variant. Its square face surrounds a circular opening for an MR16 light source. The photographs show reflective glass and a shiny retaining ring, giving this small ceiling fitting a more decorative appearance than a plain trim.

A square face with a round cut-out

The face is 90 mm wide, while the required mounting hole is 60 mm in diameter. These measurements serve different purposes: the visible square outline does not call for a square hole. When replacing an existing fitting, compare both the cut-out diameter and the area covered by the glass face.

The manufacturer's drawing specifies a height of 25 mm and a glass thickness of 8 mm. These describe the fitting itself, not the space required by the complete assembly with your chosen lamp and socket. The lamp position is fixed, with no angle adjustment, so the direction of each lighting point needs to be considered when laying out the ceiling.

Choose the MR16 lamp and socket separately

Neither the light source nor the socket is included. RIA takes a replaceable MR16 rather than providing an integrated LED module. Light colour, brightness and beam distribution therefore depend on the source you select. The manufacturer's card excludes lamps above 35 W. Match the electrical supply to the chosen source and socket instead of assuming the fitting alone determines it.

Hall and corridor ceiling layouts

The manufacturer identifies halls and corridors as uses for this model. Its geometric face and reflective details support modern and glamour interiors. In a row of fittings, consider the orientation of the square faces: their edges become part of the visible ceiling arrangement.
