Lumines TEKKNI EGEN 38-1161-30 is a 3 m surface-mounted LED profile kit with a black body and a frosted M22 cover. The aluminium profile accommodates two LED strips and provides the construction components for a decorative linear lighting installation in a home or office.
What is included, and what needs choosing?
The kit contains one EGEN aluminium profile, one M22 polycarbonate cover, four plastic end caps and four metal mounting clips. It is not a ready-to-use luminaire with a specified output or light colour. LED strips and a power supply are not part of the manufacturer's listed contents, so these need to be selected separately for the intended installation.
Article 38-1161-30 identifies the black profile with the frosted cover in a 3000 mm length. It is distinct from the silver version and from sets with a clear or milky cover. When adding components, use the EGEN system designation and M22 cover reference rather than assuming that a similar-looking profile has the same compatibility.
Check the section and mounting space
The external section is 23.6 mm wide and 10 mm high, with an internal width of 22 mm. Compare both the section and the full length against the available mounting space and the width of your planned LED strips before ordering. The manufacturer illustrates surface mounting using clips and screws or double-sided tape. Space for the power supply must be planned outside the profile.
A restrained outline for decorative lighting
A low rectangular section and a black body suit modern and minimalist installations without the outline of a conventional decorative shade. EGEN is intended for decorative lighting in domestic and office spaces; it does not by itself establish suitability as task lighting. Brightness, colour temperature and control options depend on the separately selected strips and their power supply, not on the profile kit alone.
