TEKKNI HORST 3 m set with a transparent cover

TEKKNI HORST 38-1291-30 is a complete black 3 m LED-profile set for recessing into plasterboard ceilings or walls. This version combines a black profile with a transparent M22 cover, making it a discreet architectural component for a linear LED-tape installation. It is a mounting set rather than a finished luminaire with a light source.

Included components

• a 3 m profile from the HORST system,
• a transparent M22 cover made of PC,
• four black ABS end caps.

The profile is intended to be installed between plasterboards. Its perforated flanges can be embedded in joint compound, so the completed surface leaves a neat rectangular line of the cover visible. Plan the power supply outside the profile: this system does not provide an option for joining profile lengths.

Lighting effect and use

The construction directs light perpendicular to the surface. The transparent cover is specific to this variant; it is not a milky or frosted diffuser, so select the LED tape and its light colour with the desired effect in mind. HORST suits architectural lighting projects as well as decorative or main linear-lighting layouts where the built-in detail should remain clean and unobtrusive.

Planning the installation

Before fitting, prepare the recess, cable route and external power supply, then finish the plasterboard with the appropriate plastering technique. The 3 m dimension belongs to this exact set. Other lengths and cover types exist within the system, but they are not supplied with 38-1291-30. Its black finish works particularly well in contemporary ceilings and built-in elements where the detail should look precise even when the LED tape is switched off.
