Trio NESTOS outdoor wall light with motion sensor 240969142

Trio NESTOS 240969142 is an outdoor LED wall light with a motion sensor beneath its rectangular diffuser. An anthracite die-cast aluminium body frames the white plastic light panel. Its flat top, horizontal proportions and unadorned edges give it a modern, minimalist appearance rather than the shape of a traditional lantern.

Check the wall space and projection

The fitting measures 23 cm wide and 15 cm high, with a projection of 12 cm from the wall. Compare all three measurements with the intended position, including the space in front of the fitting. This version is designed for wall mounting only, not ceiling installation or placement on the ground.

The manufacturer identifies house façades, terrace walls and balconies as suitable applications. Its IP54 rating provides protection against harmful dust ingress and splashing water, not immersion. The white diffuser occupies most of the front, leaving a dark lower strip where the sensor remains visible. This contrast is the main decorative feature, without additional ornamental detailing.

Warm-white light from an included LED module

The integrated SMD LED source is included. It is rated at 13 W, with 1300 lm and a colour temperature of 3000 K. There is no separate bulb to choose, and the warm-white light colour is already determined by the module. This is not a fitting for a conventional replaceable screw-base bulb. It is not suitable for an external dimmer, so that type of brightness control should not be included in the installation plan.

Set the sensor for the intended location

The instructions show an adjustable illumination time from 10 seconds to 10 minutes and an ambient-light threshold from 5 to 2000 lx. These settings determine how long the light stays on and the surrounding brightness at which motion can trigger it. The stated detection coverage is up to 8 m over 120°; actual reach depends on installation conditions.

A 230 V, 50 Hz supply is required. The fitting is protection class I and requires a protective-earth connection. Consult the wiring diagram and sensor-setting instructions for this exact article before installation.
