The V-TAC VT-7821 is a pendant luminaire shaped like an elongated, oval bar, finished in white. The fixture holds an integrated LED source and hangs on two thin cables attached to a small, rectangular ceiling canopy.
How big it is and where to hang it
The diffuser itself measures 80 cm in length and 20 cm in width, so it works best over an elongated surface — a dining table or a kitchen island of a similar length. The luminaire hangs only on two thin cables, with no rigid rod, and the cables allow it to be suspended up to 104 cm below the ceiling, which gives extra room in taller spaces.
The lamp weighs 2.72 kg — a load a typical ceiling hook in a concrete or timber ceiling can carry.
How much light it gives
The light source is integrated into the fixture (LED) and cannot be replaced — the manufacturer states a lifespan of around 18 years at 3 hours of use per day. Drawing 24 W, the lamp outputs 3000 lm, which works out to roughly 125 lm/W. The light colour is 3000 K, a warm white close to a traditional bulb, and the 120° beam angle spreads it widely rather than in a sharp, focused beam.
A colour rendering index of Ra 80+ is typical for general lighting — colours are clearly recognisable, though not as accurate as at Ra 90+. The manufacturer rates the fixture for over 15,000 on/off cycles, so it tolerates frequent switching well, for instance from a motion sensor or a timer switch.
Build
The body and diffuser are finished in white, and the small, rectangular ceiling canopy conceals the power cable. The product carries a 2-year manufacturer warranty.
