The V-TAC VT-2-10 is a round LED downlight for recessed ceiling mounting, with an aluminium body in a white finish. The light source is an integrated SAMSUNG LED chip, and the fixture head is adjustable — it can be rotated and tilted without moving the mounting point.

How big it is and how to fit it

The fixture measures 96 mm in diameter and 34 mm in height, and the cutout hole in a suspended ceiling is around 80 mm. It weighs 0.29 kg, so mounting puts no real load on the ceiling structure. It runs directly on 230 V mains, so no extra transformer or driver is needed. The adjustable head lets you angle the beam sideways — onto a picture, a shelf or a section of wall — instead of only pointing straight down.

How much light it gives and what kind

Drawing 10 W, the fixture outputs 1060 lm, noticeably brighter than a typical 60 W incandescent bulb. The light colour is 6400 K, a cool white close to daylight — well suited to a kitchen, bathroom or workspace where clarity matters more than atmosphere. The 25° beam angle produces a narrow, focused spot rather than a wide wash across the ceiling. A colour rendering index above Ra 80 gives accurate, though not photographically precise, colour reproduction.

The LED chip is integrated into the fixture and cannot be replaced on its own — the manufacturer rates it for 30,000 hours, which works out to around 27 years at three hours of use a day, and for more than 20,000 on/off cycles. The fixture carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty.
