The Vetivene wall light by Kichler in Natural Brass is made up of a rectangular plate with a pressed, profiled panel, an arched arm and a cylindrical shade of shiny opal glass. It is distributed by Elstead Lighting.
Dimensions
The light is 30.5 cm high, the plate 12.7 cm wide and the projection 15.9 cm; it weighs 1.17 kg. The shade can point up or down, so the same fitting can be set to light the wall above it or the surface below it.
It is Class I — an earth conductor is needed for connection.
For bathrooms
IP44 means protection from splashing water, hence the bathroom use the manufacturer gives. In the catalogue it is also assigned to hallways and dining rooms.
Light and lamp
A replaceable G9 LED lamp comes included: 6 W, 700 lm and 3000 K, a warm white with brightness close to an old 60 W bulb. When it wears out, any G9 lamp will do. The light can be dimmed with a dimmable G9 lamp and a suitable dimmer.
The shiny opal glass spreads light around the full circumference of the cylinder, so the shade glows evenly with no visible bulb point.
Brass and style
The steel frame in a warm, natural brass tone, paired with the milky white glass, gives a fitting of classic character. The manufacturer describes the effect as the warm, inviting glow of opal against refined brass.
