Paul Neuhaus Q-Akustik 6423-79 combines natural oak veneer with black acoustic felt. Short strips of light run between parallel slats, giving the surface the appearance of a slatted panel. The felt absorbs sound; its effect in a room also depends on the room size and other furnishings. The fitting can be mounted on a wall or ceiling.
The supplied remote continuously adjusts brightness and colour temperature from 2700 to 5000 K, moving from warm, yellowish white to a cooler white. Brightness and white tone can therefore be chosen separately. The memory retains the last setting, while preset scenes on the remote allow lighting to be changed without starting each adjustment again.
Zigbee connectivity allows the light to join a compatible smart home system. App or voice control requires a compatible gateway and a configured system; the supplied remote is sufficient for basic operation. Check that your gateway supports Q lighting before buying additional equipment.
Overall dimensions: 62 × 62 × 6 cm. The integrated LEDs are supplied, so separate bulbs are not needed. The complete fitting emits 1150 lm and consumes 35 W. It is intended for indoor use and has an IP20 rating.
