Paul Neuhaus CARLO 9489-13 LED wall light, anthracite, 27 cm, IP54 Limited Offer

Paul Neuhaus CARLO 9489-13 is an anthracite LED wall light with a half-round front and ten integrated light points. Five face upwards and five downwards, producing overlapping cones of light on the wall. The fitting itself forms a low, curved band measuring 27 cm across, rather than a projecting shade.

Choose it for the pattern on the wall

The fixed colour temperature is 3000 K, giving warm white light. With outlets along both edges, the wall above and below the fitting becomes part of its lighting effect. Leave space for that pattern when deciding where to install it: positioning the light immediately beneath a shelf restricts the surface available for the upward beams.

The LED sources are built in, so there is no need to select ten separate bulbs. Total fitting power is 10 W, while the LED modules account for 8 W altogether. The manufacturer also distinguishes the sources' 1200 lm from the fitting's effective output of 960 lm. Use 960 lm when comparing light leaving complete luminaires, rather than treating the higher source figure as the finished fitting's output.

Size and installation position

CARLO is 8 cm high and projects 4.7 cm from the wall. Check its 27 cm length against the available wall space, and allow for nearby doors and furnishings before installation. This is a wall-mounted fitting with a 230 V supply, not a portable lamp that can simply be moved independently of its electrical connection.

The manufacturer specifies both indoor and outdoor use. Its IP54 rating provides limited protection against dust and protection against splashing water; it does not mean the fitting can be submerged. It can add a wall accent at an entrance, on a facade or on a terrace or balcony wall. Indoors, it can supplement a hallway, corridor or dining room lighting scheme.

A restrained shape with a distinct light effect

The plain anthracite front, curved profile and regular spacing of the light points suit modern and minimalist interiors. In a living room or bedroom, CARLO works as supplementary wall lighting. Its up-and-down distribution should not be confused with even illumination throughout a room or the function of an adjustable reading light.
