White LED pendant light V-TAC VT-7796 8.5 W 3000 K 850 lm, Ø12 cm, 162 cm high

V-TAC VT-7796 is a white pendant light with a spherical 12 cm-wide body. A narrow illuminated gap runs around its lower section, while the opening underneath directs light onto the surface below. The integrated LED light source is part of the fitting, so there is no separate bulb to buy.

Dimensions and suspension length

The technical drawing shows a 150 cm cable and a shade with a diameter of 12 cm, giving a total height of 162 cm. The white ceiling canopy is 7 cm in diameter and 12 cm high. Compare the full 162 cm with the room height and intended lower edge before buying.

The fitting weighs 0.82 kg. Its slim single form takes up little horizontal space, although the long drop remains a prominent part of the room. V-TAC lists apartments, restaurants and hotels among its intended settings.

How the VT-7796 lights a space

The LED module draws 8.5 W and produces 850 lm, close to the output of a traditional 60 W bulb. A colour temperature of 3000 K gives warm white light with a slightly yellow tone. The 120° beam is broad rather than spot-like, so it covers the area around the point directly below the pendant.

The light is not dimmable and its brightness cannot be changed with an external dimmer. EPREL records Pst LM 1.0 and SVM 0.9; for prolonged precision work, it is useful to compare these figures with fittings that have lower flicker metrics.

Installation and use

The fitting connects to an AC 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz supply through an approved terminal block. The instructions require isolation of the power and installation by a suitably qualified person. Its IP20 rating and the manufacturer's guidance limit use to dry interiors without exposure to moisture or accidental splashing.

V-TAC declares 20,000 operating hours and more than 15,000 switching cycles. Once disconnected and cool, clean the light with a soft, slightly damp cloth, keeping moisture away from electrical parts. Allow it to dry completely before reconnecting the power.
