ABASOLO Luces Exclusivas LE43736 is a desk lamp with two gold-coloured shades on a black crossbar. A slender upright stem rises from a pale, rounded marble base, contrasting with the metal upper section. Its two light sources sit on opposite sides of the base rather than beneath a single central shade.

Allow space for the whole crossbar

The lamp measures 55 cm high and 65 cm wide. The manufacturer's drawing gives the base width as 15 cm, but that smaller measurement is not the space occupied by the entire lamp. When positioning it beside a monitor or beneath a shelf, account for the span of both shades as well as the base.

This desk-standing construction supports use in an office or study as supplementary reading light. Compare the complete width with the available work surface before deciding where it should stand. It is a noticeably different layout from a narrow desk lamp with one shade directly above its support.

Choose two E27 bulbs separately

There are two E27 sockets, each accepting a light source rated at no more than 12 W. Bulbs are not supplied, so both need to be selected separately. Check the socket type and the individual power limit rather than treating 12 W as a combined allowance for the entire fitting.

Brightness and light colour depend on the bulbs you choose. The gold finish does not determine their colour temperature, and the illuminated product photograph is not a declaration of the brightness or colour of the separately purchased sources.

A restrained three-part contrast

The upright stem, straight crossbar and simple shades give this metal-and-marble table lamp a modern, minimalist character.
